The 35 members of the International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN) established in the Netherlands are united in the IUCN National Committee of the Netherlands (IUCN NL).

IUCN NL is a bridge between social organizations, the government, business and science and focuses on all kinds of subjects pertaining to the struggle against the loss in biodiversity. In collaboration with the same partners IUCN NL applies this knowledge to come to a constructive Dutch contribution to solving global issues in the fields of nature and the environment.

ONGs y soja en el Cono Sur

En Marzo 2012 hizimos un encuentro grande y estrategico en Brasilia con ONGs activos el el tema de soja. Fue un intercambio de conocimientos e ideas entre los ONGs partneres y aliados de Both ENDS, UICN NL y Fundacion Humedales/ Wetlands International en America Latina. Sobre todo en Brazil (ICV, WWF Brazil, varios otros), Argentina (Fundacion Humedales, MBigua, y otros), Paraguay (Guyra, Fundacion Moises Bertoni y otros), Bolivia (Probioma y otros). Uno de los resultados fue la formacion de un Observatorio SocioAmbiental de la Soja, que esta en la fase de diseno para arancar en 2013.

Community-based Monitoring Systems for NTFP Resources: Regional Exchange of Learnings from Asia

The NTFP Exchange Programme, together with Keystone Foundation, gathered its network partners from six countries for a sharing on community-based conservation practices and non-timber forest products (NTFP) monitoring systems. For four days, 43 participants representing 24 organizations and communities coming exchanged views, experiences, and practices in their conservation work with indigenous communities, particularly in terms of NTFP monitoring.
