Hunger for wood and the Asian connection - draft report on the Dynamics of Harvesting and Trade in Rosewood (Pterocarpus erinaceous) in the Northern Region of Ghana

The attached  document is a  study on the cutting and trade in African  'rosewood' (notably Pterocarpus erinaceous)  in the Nothern part of Ghana.  The study was commissioned by  EA partner Nature  Conservation Resource Centre (NCRC) to alliance partner A Rocha Ghana. A Rocha Ghana was directly confronted with the undermining   effects of the large scale illegal and uncontrolled logging  of rosewood in and around  Mole National Park.


Workshop on Sustainable Finance Mechanisms for Biodiversity Conservation and Local Development

In order to strengthen the capacity of our partner organisations in sustainable financial strategies, an interactive workshop was organized for  EA partners from West Africa. The workshop took place in the city of Ouidah in Benin,  on teh 24th and 25th of  April 2014.
